At this, the top of yet another inning in the Dollar collapse....

...and in the wake of what appears to be an impending run on the Bank of England...

...and in the dismal shadow of the release of Alan Greenspan's pre-humous attempt at pre-historical autobiographic revisionism...

I felt compelled to dredge up from the Deconsumption dustbin my own little ode to the even little-er (not-actually)Federal Reserve Chairman:

"Alan Greenspan Is Such a Huge Pathetic Loser (an objective perspective on the man and his work)"

Nice to see a new posting, I've been thinking your sort of analysis is just the sort of thing we need at a time like this. Although it's true you have already said that this was going to happen.

One thing I notice about this is that guaranteeing the deposits of the little people is being called irresponsible behaviour whereas I would say it is exactly the opposite - paying back all your depositors is surely meeting your responsibilities.

I know it is also does nasty things to the economy but surely the decision to do that was made a long time ago when they started to encourage all this crazy lending
